For the record, some EMACS's (including Warren Mongomery's EMACS
but not Goslings EMACS) will allow you to specify a list of editing
modes within a file.  However, this feature does not allow you to
execute an arbitrary command so it doesn't pose a security problem.

My own belief is that setting modes from the file name extension
(as Gosling's EMACS allows you to do) is a better approach.
