Multiple Memory Controllers for 4.x?

I think dispelling this is of general interest:
Both 4.1BSD and 4.2BSD handled the old 16K-chip memory controllers
properly, whether you had one or several of them.  Neither version of
UNIX will report errors properly on the newer 64K-chip version of
the memory controller, but the fixes aren't all that difficult.
