4.2 progressive or dead end

Here here!!  I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who is tired
of hearing people complain about how bad 4.2 is.  I would rather take
a somewhat buggy system with some nice features (like screen editors
and job control!) over a system that works right all the time but is
a pain to use.
