recent xenix flame--unlink("/dev/null")

If protections are correct on the directory /dev, then an unlink("/dev/null")
won't be an issue for anyone but the super-user.  It's silly to have /dev
writable by anyone other than root, anyway, since a malicious user or
runaway user program could wreak havoc (like "rm *"--now try to reboot!)
