	What Geoff says is true, but I still found it necessary to put
an option into VMUNIX at Rand to allow DC3/DC1 flow control in RAW mode,
because the AED-512, a rather popular raster graphics unit, uses DC3/DC1
flow control as well as using an 8-bit data path.  So long as it's clearly
understood that this is the convention, and that DC3/DC1 will not occur in
the data stream, this seems OK to me.  Or to put it more baldly, either
this code went in or the AED didn't run.  Ordinarily I'm a purist but
this was no contest.
