6250 tape drive - (nf)

We want to get 6250 tape drives for our VAX 780 and 750's.  We are running
4.2bsd.  Anyone has any suggestions or experience in this?  I heard that
the 6250 tape drive will monopolize the whole Unibus when it runs.  Is
it true?  Has anyone tried it in the 4.2bsd system?
