I would like to take a survey of products or research projects that
intend to distributed file systems accross multiple machines in the
UNIX enviroment, ie., allow a local user to access files on a remote
machine accross a network as part of the local file system. Of primary
interest are those which could be used with Berkeley 4.2 or a least
System V. The ones I know anything about are listed below. Any
information that can be added will be helpful.

-
Netix
ITT, Bell Manufacturing Company, The Netherlands
System V
Ungerman Base hardware
-
Newcastle Connection
The University of Newcastle
Advanced Microelectronics Limited
-
4.3 bsd
CSRG Berkeley
-
Locus
Ucla and Locus
Ethernet
-

Send replies by mail and I'll summerize.

Please include as much of the following as avalible:

Product name
Company or research group
Address and phone
Operating system(s)
Hardware to be used
Projected compeletion date
Pricing information

Thank you,
