Ah, interesting.  4.1BSD's ``man 2 brk'' doesn't say anything about
zeroing memory.  I would say that the System V manual should just
say ``... and memory allocated by brk() or sbrk() is likely to be
full of garbage'', so that no one has any call to depend on zeros.
(Besides, that's more accurate, what with partial pages and hardware
differences.)
