DMD auto-repeat

The fact is that using code provided by AT&T, it doesn't work when not
in layers.  How can i make that any clearer?

At this point, the discussion should probably be moved to INFO-BLIT.  We don't
get that list, so i guess i'll have to drop out.  i felt that the rose-colored
images of the machine that people here (unix-wizards) were projecting were
misleading.
