rn/inews/dbm trouble; maybe a clue???

Concerning my rn/inews/dbm problem...  Forgot to mention this; maybe it's a
clue.  The 'history' file modify time is later than the 'dir' file although
the 'pag' file is later yet...
  File: "/usr/lib/news/history"
Modify: Sat May 24 15:09:27 1986(00000.02:49:52)
  File: "/usr/lib/news/history.dir"
Modify: Sat May 24 14:57:27 1986(00000.03:01:52)
  File: "/usr/lib/news/history.pag"
Modify: Sat May 24 15:09:28 1986(00000.02:49:51)
