DMF-32 & the U of Geulph driver & 4.3BSD

I got a little problem..

I wanna shift our bitnet link over to one of our dmf's (its currently
running off a dup-11... can you say slooow?). I got the DMF driver
from U of Geulph through Penn State.

We have a 750 running 4.3+NFS (From Mt. Xinu) that is our bitnet machine.
I've put the driver into the kernel, and the async part just works.
BUT when I go to use the sync part the program hangs in the sleep()
in the read() routine. (i.e. the open works, but the sleep doesn't).
At that point in the read routine we've informed the device that we
want recieve characters to a particular place and we want so many
of them before making the interrupt. Then the routine goes to sleep
and never wakes up.

We're using a straight ribbon cable to connect the modem up, and have
checked the modem far enough to know we don't need to have RD and TD
reversed and that the other lines match up correctly.

There was somebody I was emailing with a couple of months ago who said
he'd put this driver up under 4.3 and had NO problems. Unfortunately
I've lost his address and have no idea who/where he is/was. If you
think you're you please speak up. :-)

Anybody else that knows anything please speak up. :-)

Thank you,
