uucp USERFILE entry - Ultrix1.2

    uusetup prepends a 'U' to the system name in the USERFILE & that seems
to need to be there in /etc/passwd  as well. do the subsequent directories
in /usr/spool/uucp/sys also need the 'U'  prepended or can(or should) the
'U' be deleted  to make it all work? Uusetup also makes  all  the /etc/passwd
entries uid:gid 4:2  for uucp systems. What gives here?  What is the correct
setup? - the documentation is ambiguous on this point & the 'U' isn't
mentioned to my knowledge.
