Has anyone been doing work of using WORM optical disks for backup?
Their high density would allow you to do level 0 dumps with minimal
media swapping. It would take only one disk per Super Eagle (if your
super eagle is still working :=))

Severl days of level 9 dumps for a whole file system could be done on
one disk. Thus allowing you to have the automated incremental dumps
at nite.

I suspect though that having something like 600 Meg disks with WORM
properties would bring up some new concepts of backup....

A SCSI WORM drive cost less than most 6250bpi tape drives! Media is
a bit pricey but comparable to all those 2400 foot reels we are all
using.
