I would suggest you  Groff and Weinberg book Called:
"Understanding UNIX- Conceptual Guide.,  It covers berkeley, system
V and Xenix too.

And for all the levels the Hayden publisher for the Waite Group 
books in UNIX.  They are good books that can refer to any problem
quickly.
