When is the GT version of SCO Xenix required?

We are shopping around for harware to replace our 386-16/ESDI
system, and are looking at a 386-33/SCSI system... however, I am
unsure whether our existing SCO Xenix 2.3.2 will work in a SCSI
environment.

What exactly are the circumstances that would require a GT
version of the OS? In such circumstances, can the existing Text
processing, Development System, VP/ix, etc. be run on top of a GT
system?
