Beginner's Guide to 'sendmail' (and 'smail3')?

Is there a "beginner's" guide to configuring 'sendmail'?  If so,
from where can it be obtained?

While I'm at it, how about a similar document for 'smail3'?

With respect to both, any special information on SCO's sendmail
would be appreciated.  Thanks.
