iX 386 Version Numbers ???

Hi,
I remember that this topic was discussed some time ago, but I've missed the
conclusion.
So I ask again:

Could anyone please tell me what the latest release for iX 386 is and what is
planned for the future.
Until today I've thought that 1.06 is the latest release (I've seen it in a shop
nearby). But now I've read, that 2.1 is the latest.
Does Intercative counts in two different ways their releases ???

And one more question, is iX 386 V1.06 Xenix 386 binarycompatible ?
