Disabling ctrl-C and variables

I have two questions about cross development from Xenix to DOS :-

	1) How can you disable ctrl-C from C? I have tried calling DOS routine
0x33 to turn off ctrl-C (using the Xenix bdos function) but ctrl-C
still stops the program (the return value says everything is ok).

	2) How do you access DOS variables (like PATH etc) from a C program
cross compiled from Xenix to DOS? I think you have to look up the
	   Program Segment Prefix but how?

   Thanks in advance, dmh
