=Hello Netlanders,
=
=I just got myself a XENIX 286 version 2.2.3. The installation worked
=without a flaw, but the result has a defect:
=The /etc/rc file looks in /etc/rc.d for files and executes each file.
=However, after installation, there appeared to be no /etc/rc.d directory,
=and of course, no files there. As a result, the system does not get
=properly initialized during startup.
=Symptoms are simple: no update running, /u not mounted, no cron, the console
=login has pid=5..
=
=I looked on the distribution floppies, but couldn't find the files
=there either. Since V2.2.3 is not entirely new, I expect it to be
=my fault, but still can't find what I goofed...

Contact SCO. This is a known bug in the installation script, and there
is a fix diskette available.
