i trust that terry actually spoke to someone from the X Consortium and
not Project Athena, since Project Athena doesn't do this sort of
develoment anymore (the X Consortium, being entirely and wholly
responsible for the X Window System, does).

i reckon the X Consortium (also at MIT, btw) would have more
information on such servers.
