accessing dos partition d: from SCO xenix286

I'm using SCO 286 xenix. I can, using the dos utilities, access the c partition
on my dos drive. What has to be done different from the vanilla setup to access
the other dos hard disk partitions? Change something in /etc/default/msdos?
