I am running SCO UNIX 3.2 on a ATI VGA card and monochrome monitor I just
got. I am having some problems I hope someone can help me with. BTW, I
used to have a CGA and color monitor and didn't have any problems.

   Problem 1 -
I thought I would be able to run the display in 43 line mode by
using the vidi command and appropriate parameter. The only 43 line mode is
for a EGA color monitor but I figured VGA will emulate EGA and what difference
does color make to 43 lines? Well, it doesn't work under UNIX. It will
go into 43 line mode under DOS. Does anyone have VGA running 43 line mode?,
do I need a color monitor?

SCO Xenix 2.3.2 does not support graphics or 43-line mode with
monochrome VGA displays yet. I pointed this out to Louis Imershein at
SCO in September of last year, and he has assured me that a fix is in
the works, but he has given no timetable of when those of us who use
monochrome VGA displays can expect to have graphics and the 43-line
mode working. Perhaps if more of us remind SCO that we _need_ full
use of our monochrome VGA console displays, they will speed up a fix.
