Unix on IBMs

   I am not aware of any unix running under OS on IBMs.  There is an i
implementation of version 7 running VM/370 however.  And if you where running
VM, you could also run OS under VM (although I wouldn't recommend it unless the
OS was at least OS/VS1).  It has been rumored that IBM is going to annouce
support for Unix.  The last rumor I heard said it would be 4.2 BSD, but IBM
has been rumored to be releasing Unix for several years now, so the latest
rumor may not be anymore likely than some of the past ones.  The Unix under
VM (of which there are several places that run it that I am aware of) is a
product of Amdahl and is called the Universal Timesharing System.  It supports
3270s and is not overly cheap.
