Simple method used by me to get files OUT of a PDP-10:

1. Put the line "~>>cu.log" into a file called "culog.on".
(Note: No colon ^ here, so you still see everything on the screen.)

2. Put the line "~>" into a file called "culog.off".

3. When you want to start copying, say "type culog.on".
When you want to stop say "type culog.off".

4. Everything gets APPENDED (because of the ">>") to "cu.log"
   on your local system.

5. When you're through, edit the garbage (command prompts, etc.)
   out of "cu.log".

O.k.?
