TOPS-20 like shell?

I vaguely remember hearing or reading about a version of the UNIX shell
which supports some of the features of TOPS-20 (file name recognition,
help on '?', command renaming, and other such things).  Can anyone
out there confirm whether such a beast exists and provide a pointer
to information?
