Communitree bbs

A number of years ago there was a micro enthusiast in our community who
ran a bulletin board called the Communitree, a tree based system. I was
wondering if anyone has implemented this under Unix, and if so, was the
code available. Of course an alternative would be to use a local only
version of news, but send me mail if you have an info pertaining to this.
