Two PC-AT XENIX bugs (no fixes).

I have run into two problems with IBM PC-AT XENIX (1.0).

1) When trying to edit a file with "vi" I get the following message if
the file has more than 2048 lines.

"Out of memory saving lines for undo - try using ed"

2) In nroff/troff the "%" numbered register (current page number) is
always 0. This effectively breaks all the macro packages. The "mm"
macros that came with XENIX have been modified to keep track of
page numbers in a different register, but still loses if you use
the ".pn N" or ".bp N" commands.

Any fixes out there?
