pyramid or unix help wanted

I want to revise a compiler I wrote earlier to use co-processing.
I would like to be able to have the multiple processes use shared
memory if possible. The problem is that I am on a Pyramid, and I
don't know how to effectively change context, and then return.
Does anyone know a way to do this on the Pyramid? I don't need
anything fancy, the routines will block themselves. If need be,
are there any UNIX calls that would help? Such as something like
a vfork that returns immediately? There is a chgstack() for the
Pyramid, but I don't know how to use it.
