There is an implementation of the standard SNOBOL4 language
on the VAX-11 running under UNIX that is available from

    Denis Severson
Board of Studies in Computer and
       Information Sciences
    Division of Natural Science
    Applied Sciences Building
    University of California, Santa Cruz
    Santa Cruz, CA 95064

The high-performance MACRO SPITBOL dialect of SNOBOL4
for PDP-11s and VAX-11s under UNIX is sold by

    Dewar Information Systems Corporation
    221 West Lake Street
    Oak Park, IL 60302

    (312) 524-1644 (ask for Bob Goldberg)

There was a C implementation of SNOBOL3 in the Version 6 UNIX
system; it is still floating around, but it is a far cry from
SNOBOL4.
