Request for Ultrix licensing info

I am seeking information on what licenses and media/documentation packages
are required to upgrade from a single uVAX running a 16-user Ultrix 1.1 system
to two uVAXen both running 32-user Ultrix 1.2 systems. Media should be TK50.
All licenses are binary. DEC considers us to be an educational institution.
What we now have is the following:
QZ840-UZ 16 user Ultrix 1.1 license $ 900.
QZ837-H5 16 user Ultrix 1.1 media/documentation kit $1250.
My DEC salesman originally told me I needed the following items:
QZAAG-UZ 32 user Ultrix 1.2 license (for 2nd uVAX) $1200.
QZAAL-UZ 16-32 user upgrade license (for 1st uVAX) $ 300.
QZAAK-H5 16-32 user upgrade kit $ 250.
What arrived was a TK50 cart with two files which would allow me to upgrade
a 16 user Ultrix 1.2 system to a 32 user Ultrix 1.2 system. This would be
fine EXCEPT that I haven't GOT an 1.2 Ultrix system yet!
Now my salesman is telling me I need the following:
QZAAG-UZ 32 user Ultrix 1.2 license (for 2nd uVAX) $1200.
QZAAL-UZ 16-32 user upgrade license (for 1st uVAX) $ 300.
QZAAF-HZ right to copy license (for the 1st uVAX) $ 525.
QZAAF-H5 32 user Ultrix 1.2 media/documentation kit $1500.
Since the account originally used to purchase the 2nd uVAX has been closed,
I'm going to have to really hustle to get the extra $1775. Therefore,
I want to be SURE I'm getting the right story. If I were buying Ultrix 1.2
from scratch for two machines I would expect to have to buy all of the above
except, of course, the 16-32 user upgrade license. But if I am upgrading from
an existing Ultrix 1.1 system, shouldn't I get some kind of a reduced rate?
Also, it took several weeks and many phone calls to various people at DEC
for my salesman and me to arrive at the current list of items. Somehow,
I still remain slightly skeptical, shall we say?
If you have been thru an Ultrix upgrade or have any direct knowledge of DEC
software licensing policies, please respond directly to me. I will summarize
for the net. Thanx in advance...
