Terminfo()--Ideas needed. Syste

in my opinion, this is boiling down to the age-old war between the
unixes.

i personally find the improvements embodied in terminfo (both speed and 
syntax) pleasing from a system management perspective.  termcap has
become so incredibly cluttered that there are definitions with
capabilities for which i am really not sure what they do -- and they are
NOT documented in anything i have.  the one true valor that terminfo has
is its organization and clarity.

in the realm of speed, there really does seem to be this need.
with the advent of more and more smaller machines taking on 
more and more applications in the business world, the idea of terminfo is 
probably sound.

hope i am not starting another chapter to this discussion.
