Response to Sockets Query

[....but, but...everybody ELSE does it?!?!?!.....]

    This net is great!  I asked for some socket advice a little while ago and
whump!  I'm afraid that I lost some of the return paths for the net.people who
were kind enough to send me examples or advice on where to look for them, so
I am posting this to thank you all at the same time.
 
    After digging through all the stuff sent me, I actually learned something
and got my own little program up and running (well, staggering anyways :-) ).
Thanks again for all the advice and such, it was very much appreciated.
