online access to the NOED?

Is there any online access to the NOED for the general unix community?
I have heard of a program called xweb which apparently is an X interface
to the online webster dictionary available in some places. I think
something like that would be very useful for a lot of people here. Even
if were something as simple as a mail server which answered queries like

mail noed at sol
entry pedantic
.

and sent back mail giving the dictionary entry for pedantic. Of course,
a fancy window based browser system would be even nicer. Are there any
plans for this sort of thing? Does it exist already? Man -k oed didn't
find anything.

Thanks,
	Lindsay
