Hi -
I am looking for a program (to run under AIX) that will tell me which
files are open on a unix system (rather than to tell me which processes
are using a specific file). Example: sample output might be:
file/device PIDs using file/device
----------- ----------------------
/dev/null 111 114 117 124 15389
/dev/rmt0 15389
/etc/cron 117
. .
. .
. .
...am I naive for asking such a question? I am a RSTS/E user from waaaaayyy
back, where such a facility was provided by the operating system. I guess
I'd just like to see which files are open by which processes. Don't ask me
to do something like this:
find / -print | xargs fuser
...because I need to use my computer for other things as well :-)
Thanks in advance.
