LINDA, parallel computing

I just read some articles about the LINDA programming
[langauge?]. These were articles in Byte and Communications.

The idea of tuple space sounds extremely attractive for
our application, a distributed hot backupped database. Is
there anybody who has or knows a pd source which implements
Linda, or something like it, under Unix with multiple 
machines.
