a unix security problem

	Case I. UserA started an xterm and ended up as userB.

	Case II. One user found out that he was in someone else's Emacs 
	session while he was still trying to log in. 
	(This happended when he was using a terminal server to connect 
	to the timesharing machine.)

Is this a unix security problem? Does it have something to do with 
pty ownership? Can some knowledgable person explain how this could 
happen? Thanks in advance ...
