That's a solved problem, and has to do with oddities of the signal processor
in the OBM.  Two things you must do: turn off MNP on the telebit, and avoid
flow control and run the tty000 at 1200 baud.  I do this all the time now,
to several UNIX PC's, and it works just fine.
