- IMHO, the mistakes were (a) having char be an integral type in the first
- place; (b) using the bastard logical-type "unsigned char or {EOF}" for error
- handling; (c) making hardware that can easily sign-extend a byte but not
- zero-extend it; (d) invading Kuwait; (e) using a character set with only 128
- values.
But... I thought (d) was "getting involved in a land war in Asia".
Or... IS Kuwait considered to be in Asia? I never was good at geography.
