ATT 6300 clock

Is there anybody out there that has been able to successfully read
directly from the clock chip in the 6300? So far it has resisted
my efforts at reverse-engineering what the BIOS does. The reason
for this digression is that I'm getting ready to switch over to DOS
3.2, and I like the idea of not having to enter the date/time
manually each time I boot. I'm thinking about changing over to a
96 TPI drive, and want DOS 3.2 for DRIVER.SYS.

Thanks in advance for any hints, etc.
