It sounds like you are looking for low cost stuff.  If commercial is
acceptable, you might look into:

This is not an endorsement for their product, I've never used it.  I've
only seen pictures of control panels like you desire, prototyped with their
product.  Since they're in your neighborhood, it can't hurt to call for
a brouchure to, at the very least, get an idea of what is possible.
