An addendum to my previous posting about zmoded versus kermit would be that 
to get really efficient file transfer the best way to go would be to buy a 
ethernet card for the Mac (~$?) or PC (~ $200) and get a copy of NCSA telnet 
(free) and then use FTP for the file transfer.  This is MUCH, MUCH, MUCH 
faster than serial port transfers.
