What's better about SG machines than SPARCS?

A final comment about my question about SPARCS vs. SG machines:  my point that
I was engaged in a futile exercise (rating them) was that the differences for
our application are so crucial (and obvious) that the fact that I had to justify 
it was indicative of true bureacratic ignorance.  Just my cynicism in having to
reply to it.
