hi,
i have bad problems connecting a M2266SA (1.05GB) SCSI Disk
to a Silicon Graphics Personal Iris 4D (Irix 3.3.1).

when booting the machine says:
sc0: Unexpected transfer phase. State= 4f Phase = 20
scsi (0,ID,0) transfer aborted (Hardware error)

(when trying to open the device when the system is running, the
system hangs for 30 seconds, and resets the scsi bus, [I/O Error])

what does this error mean ? is there any way to get this disk run
under this system ? the disk runs fine (?) [passed diagostics]
on a pc with adaptec aha1542b hostadapter.

please respond soon via email.
thanx,
	robert.
