Spreadsheets for SUN's

Wake up and smell the coffee!!****

I just installed sc 6.1 from comp.sources.unix as well as a patch from
comp.sources.d and found out sc now has a conversion program which
successfully converted some mac Excel spreadsheets to sc form.  It doesn't
have graphics (pie charts, bar charts, etc.) which I sorely miss, but for
tables, calculations, it's better than 1-2-3*, and almost as good as
Excel**.

I massage the data and send them through graph(1) and plot(1) to get bar
and line charts, but I'd appreciate someone's telling us whence a better,
"real" product is available.

In keeping with the UNIX*** traditional toolbox methods, someone should
cobble up a set of awk scripts or some C code to massage sc files to get
plot(5) data for pie and bar charts.  Any takers?

BTW:  The replies to my own sunspots query about spreadsheets was
      underwhelming :-(.  I hope Mr. Hanscom has more luck and tells us
      about replies from Catalyst vendors :-).
