network wide license servers

At the last POSIX 1003.7 (System Administration) meeting, some of us
recognized the need to become concerned with standardizing the methods of
network-wide license servers.  Although it is not yet an official topic on
the agenda, we would be very interested in any current or planned
implementations of such servers.  Papers describing the details of the
implementation would be of the most use.  They can be sent to me either by
e-mail or surface, and I will share them with the 1003.7 committee
members.  Of course, they can be brought directly to the POSIX meetings by
anyone willing to be a working member.
