For those of you (us) still runing Suntools (or perhaps Xview on X), here
is a great line for your .suntools file:
shelltool -Ws 287 295 -I "cd /usr/demo/globeframes ; exec ../framedemo"
It creates a tiny window and execs the rotating globe demo program. Move
the mouse cursor in the window, type "f" or "F" repeatedly to make it go
Faster and "s" or "S" to make it rotate slower.
Of course you can add -Wl (label) and -WL icon-label options such as
"Stop! I want to get off!" or "You are here."
If you like this little trick, please send your favorite sunview
background screen (file) to me. The easiest way to execute the following
commands is to copy your background raster image to a file called "file"
Then select and stuff the following text in a shelltool or cmdtool:
compress file
uuencode file.Z file.Z | split -700 - /tmp/tm$$
foreach f (/tmp/tm*)
/usr/ucb/mail -s $f wyle at inf.ethz.ch < $f
end
/bin/rm -f /tmp/tm*
uncompress file
Thanks,
