SparcStation 1 & CDC Sabre ?

Has anyone tried using a 1.2GB Sabre (CDC 9720-1230) disk drive with a
SparcStation 1?  The drive can be configured to use a synchronous SCSI
interface, but I have been unable to identify anyone who has actually
tried using it in this way.  If you have had any relevant experience,
please drop me a note by e-mail.  I will send a summary of the responses I
receive to this newsgroup if I receive any helpful information.
