Uunet Communications Services provides this service to its customers. If
you have a uunet account, you can obtain any files that are advertised for
"anonymous FTP" on the Internet. You mail a copy of the announcement to
uunet!postmaster; the staff at uunet will ftp the files for you, then
queue them up for uucp to your site. I use this option frequently to
bring down new GNU software, things from Berkeley, etc.

Since much ftp-able stuff is large, having a Telebit modem helps a lot.

You can find out more about Uunet by sending mail to postmaster at uunet.uu.net
or to uunet!postmaster.
