Help, sunview throws up windows with little msg /dev/ttyn :not owner

My new SUN 4/110 throws up cmdtool windows, but these processes do not OWN
the corresponding /dev/ttyx (x being a variable..).  Will appreciate a
reply to karim at ecsvax.bitnet.
