Fig problems on a 386i

The following are fixes to fig1.4-fs for the 386i.  It works fine for
me now.

[[ The message header gave the sender's address as "wwc at boole".  I have no
idea what the real address was supposed to be, so I guessed that it was a
uucp site.  Anyway, the diff has been placed in the archive under
"sun-source" as "fig1.4.386.patch".  It is 54821 bytes long.  It can be
retrieved via anonymous FTP from the host "titan.rice.edu" or via the
archive server.  For more information about the archive server, send a
mail message containing the word "help" to the address
